Welcome to the Fear the Mecca Golf Tournament
The Fear the Mecca Golf Tournament is an annual golf tournament hosted by HancockHangoutz. It’s goal is to consistently raise funds, year after year, to help support the Mira Mesa High School football program. The Fear the Mecca Golf Tournament started in 2019 with the deliberate objective of creating an ongoing tradition of supporting the founders high school alma mater, MMHS, via a high quality, top notch tournament at some of San Diego county’s most exclusive golf courses.
The 2019 Annual Fear the Mecca Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, September 20th, 2019 at The Vineyard golf course in Escondido, California. Located just north of beautiful Lake Hodges in North County San Diego, bordering the award-winning boutique Orfila Vineyard and Winery in the San Pasqual Valley agricultural preserve, The Vineyard at Escondido is approximately 30 minutes north of San Diego, just 5 minutes off Interstate 15. Their spectacular David Rainville-designed layout, exceptional tournament facilities, and friendly service make us one of San Diego County’s best public golf facilities. In starting a tradition of high quality, top notch events that are enjoyable to everyone, the Fear the Mecca Golf Tournament will feature golf and carts, shirts, gift bags, putting contest, longest drives, closest to the pin, mulligans, beer taps on holes, professional photographers, silent/live auctions, hosted bar, hors d’oeuvres, buffet dinner, desserts, a free raffle (really cool stuff, like golf bags, massages, wine, gift cards and more), individual and team prizes, after party and more!
The Fear the Mecca Golf Tournament is open to ANYONE AND EVERYONE, the more the merrier! And if you don’t golf, you can still participate! In keeping with tradition, the Fear the Mecca Golf Tournament will be hosting a dinner immediately after the golf tournament, complete with both silent/live auctions, raffle and after-party! HancockHangoutz was founded by born and raised locals (Realtor Kevin Hancock, Mary Hancock and photographer Jerry Roxas), who have lived and served various communities within San Diego all of thier lives. From their childhoods into their marriages and raising their own children here, through their professional lives and individual commitments, they are proud to call Mira Mesa their hometown! They’ve been blessed through the many opportunities, friendships, relationships and rewards Mira Mesa has given them, and they wanted to share their experience and love for Mira Mesa with others!
